What to Expect for the Next Call of Duty

In 2013, the franchise for Call of Duty celebrates ten years; this follows the release of COD Ghosts. Many of the COD fans are eagerly awaiting the next call of duty game for this series. NASDAQ:ATV (Activision) since the year 2006 has published and released one Call of Duty title each year. They have recently confirmed that there is the next call of duty in the stages of development that should be released into 2014.

The Call of Duty developments and the franchises have been split for a number of years between game studios. These game studios Treyarch and Infinity Wards are responsible for various developments in games.  In 2010 Infinity Wards and its founders as well as almost half of their staff team departed. This bought on a third studio which is called Sledgehammer Games, this studio helped to complete the game known as Modern Warfare 3.

The game was an instant hit, and soon earned the status of best reviewed release for the franchise belonging to Call of Duty. This success bought in earnings of more than one billion dollars within the first sixteen days of release. However, Sledgehammer had been retracted from the COD title, rumors have been spread that the company is in the midst of multiplayer online type of role playing (game) such as (World of Warcraft).

What are Expected for 2014 and the Next Call of Duty?

If the game studio Treyarch is the ones responsible for the next release, it is highly probable that the Black Ops (2) follow up will result in another title such as Black Ops (3). It is believed that three seems to be the lucky number for the franchise of COD. This is due to three of the games set out in World War 2, and then into the future with Modern Warfare titles of another set of three releases.

It is however important to remember that the trilogy of Black Ops (2) that started out as World at (War) was ended. The following Treyarch title perhaps would be something totally unique and different. Some seem to think the new release will follow onto Call of Duty (11) set in World War 2.

Sledgehammer games could also be the gaming studio to release the next call of duty; they have been developing and creating new COD titles soon after the famous release of MW3 which was at the end of 2011. Players may expect similar styles of games, like Modern Warfare (4), or even an adventure combined with and action type of game under the title of MMORPG.

The possibilities of the new releases will only tell with time and all fans and players will need to patiently await these releases. The only definite release said to be ready for launching sometime in the fall of 2014 is the next Call of Duty (11).
